Indoor and outdoor displays for retail, hospitality, showrooms, events and trade shows in NYC and the tri-state area.
A Retail and Commercial Display Company in New York
A display has to survive being merchandised. It gets restocked, leaned on, re-dressed for a new season, and moved when the floor plan changes. That is a fabrication problem long before it is a design problem, and it is why display companies that only design tend to disappoint on the second visit.
Velement brings 30 years of architectural signage and display experience to this work. We design, fabricate and install in-house, which means the fixture you approve on a drawing is the fixture that arrives, and the graphics that go on it are color matched because the same team printed them. We work across custom display and signage programs, whether it is a single store or a large retail rollout.
That covers one window in one store, and it covers a coordinated display package across thirty locations with a phased install schedule. We work throughout the five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, northern New Jersey and Connecticut, from our facility in Hicksville, NY.
Our Custom Display Services
Window Display Design
Storefront windows designed and built as a set piece, changed out on a seasonal or campaign cycle. Most of this work happens overnight and we plan for it.
Custom Store Fixtures
Shelving, gondolas, tables, plinths and bespoke units, built to the floor plan and to the weight of what is going on them.
Point of Purchase Displays
Counter units, floor stands and shelf displays, produced in matched batches so every location receives the same thing in the same week.
Retail Signage and Displays
In-store signage, promotional displays and department identification, drawn as one family across the store rather than assembled piecemeal.
Acrylic Fabrication
Risers, pedestals, cases, holders, barriers and protective screens, cut, formed and polished in our own workshop.
Signage Fabrication
Custom fabricated signs and display elements, one-off pieces and repeat production, in metal, acrylic, timber and composite.
Brand Signage and Activation
Brand-led display and environment work, from a single feature to a full activation. Built to a launch date that does not move.
Event and Trade Show Displays
Stand builds, backdrops, sponsor and wayfinding displays, produced to a fixed install date and transportable afterwards.
Experiential and Pop-Up Displays
Short-life environments for launches, pop-ups and brand experiences, designed to go up fast and come down clean.
Multi-Site Display Rollouts
One display program produced, packed and shipped location by location, with installation scheduled around trading hours.
Displays for Retail and Commercial Environments
A display in a luxury flagship and a display in a pharmacy chain have almost nothing in common except the word. These are the environments we know.
- Fashion and luxury retail. Window sets, in-store features, mannequin staging and seasonal changeovers. Finish tolerance is unforgiving here, because the customer is standing close and paying attention.
- Multi-site and chain retail. The same display rolled out across every door, matched and scheduled. Consistency is the whole product.
- Showrooms and dealerships. Product staging, feature walls and display furniture built into the architecture of the space.
- Hospitality and restaurants. Menu and promotional displays, entrance features, seasonal dressing matched to the interior scheme.
- Corporate and workplace. Reception features, award and product cases, internal brand displays.
- Events and trade shows. Stand builds and sponsor displays to a fixed date, with transport and reuse designed from the start.
- Healthcare and pharmacy retail. Product displays and protective screens on finishes that tolerate frequent cleaning.
Indoor and Outdoor Displays
This section carries the second target keyword and it needs to be genuinely useful, not a keyword placement. The distinction is real and it changes the build.
Indoor Displays
Window sets, store fixtures, point of purchase, acrylic cases and risers, in-store signage, event and showroom staging. Indoor displays are seen from a meter away and touched daily, so the finish and the joinery are the product. Edges, seams, fixings and the underside of a shelf are all visible to someone browsing, which is a far more demanding audience than someone driving past. We work in acrylic, painted and brushed metal, timber, composite panel and printed graphics, specified for the traffic the fixture will take.
Outdoor Displays
Storefront and entrance displays, forecourt and sidewalk units, hoarding and barricade displays, event and temporary structures. Outdoor work in New York takes freeze and thaw cycles, road salt, wind load and direct sun, and it has to be secured against all of it. Fixed and mobile builds, illuminated where the location calls for it. Material specification is the whole job here: a fixture that is perfect indoors will fail in a season outside.
Design, Fabrication and Installation Under One Roof
Most display projects go wrong in the gap between the person who designed it and the person who has to build it. We do not have that gap.
- Design and development: concepts worked up from your brief, brand guidelines or a designer’s scheme, and taken to something buildable.
- Engineering and drawings: construction drawings, materials and fixings specified before anything is cut, so the quote is the price.
- Prototyping: a first-off sample or prototype on repeat production runs, approved before the batch is made.
- Fabrication: CNC and laser cutting, acrylic forming, metalwork, joinery and finishing in our own workshop.
- Printed graphics: display graphics printed and applied in-house, color matched to the fabricated elements they sit on.
- Installation: fitted by our own teams, out of hours and phased around trading, with the store left ready to open.
From Brief to Installed Display
- Brief and site survey. We measure the space, check access, and confirm what the display has to hold and do.
- Concept and drawings. Design developed and issued as construction drawings with materials and finishes specified.
- Sample or prototype approval. Finishes and, on repeat runs, a first-off unit signed off before production.
- Fabrication. Built in our own workshop, with graphics produced alongside so the colors match.
- Packing by destination. Packed store by store so nothing is sorted on a shop floor at midnight.
- Installation. Fitted by our own teams, out of hours where the store is trading, phased across locations on a rollout.
- Ongoing changeovers. Seasonal and campaign refreshes to the same specification, so year three still matches year one.
Display Materials and Finishes
What a display is made from decides what it costs, how long it lasts and whether it can be moved. We specify for the life of the display, not for the lowest quote.
- Acrylic: cut, formed, polished and bonded for risers, cases, holders, pedestals and screens. Our own acrylic fabrication, so tolerances and edge finish are ours to control.
- Metal: aluminum and steel frames, brushed and painted finishes, for fixtures that carry weight or have to last.
- Timber and joinery: display furniture, plinths, counters and shelving, veneered, laminated or painted to the interior scheme.
- Composite and rigid panel: aluminum composite, MDF and PVC for panels, backdrops and lightweight builds.
- Printed graphics: large format graphics, applied vinyl and fabric panels, produced in-house and color matched.
- Illumination: integrated lighting and lightboxes where the display has to work after dark or draw the eye across a floor.

We install what we build
Out of hours, phased around trading, with site access and building rules handled up front.
Built for rollouts
Single store or thirty, packed by destination and scheduled location by location.
Repeatable years later

Display Company FAQs
What kind of displays do you make?
Window displays, custom store fixtures, point of purchase units, in-store retail signage and displays, acrylic risers, cases and screens, fabricated signage, brand and event displays, and full multi-site display programs.
Do you design displays, or only build them?
Both. We work from your concept, your brand guidelines or your designer’s scheme, and we also develop designs from a brief. Either way we take it to construction drawings before anything is cut.
Do you make displays for outdoor use?
Yes, fixed and mobile, illuminated where the location needs it. Outdoor builds are specified differently: material, fixings and weathering all change, so tell us at the briefing stage where the display is going.
Can you match displays across multiple store locations?
Yes, and this is a large part of what we do. We hold the drawings and the color references, pack by destination, and schedule installs location by location so every store receives the same build.
Do you install the displays?
Yes, with our own teams, out of hours where the store is trading. Building access, freight elevator bookings and loading restrictions are agreed before delivery.
Can you work to our designer or architect’s drawings?
Yes. A lot of our work comes through designers and architects, and we will flag anything in a drawing that will not fabricate or will not survive being merchandised, before we build it.
How long does a display project take?
It depends on design complexity, materials, quantity and install scheduling. Tell us the deadline when you enquire and we will confirm whether it is achievable before you commit.
Which areas do you cover?
All five boroughs of New York City, plus Long Island, Westchester, northern New Jersey and Connecticut, from our facility in Hicksville, NY. We also produce and ship multi-site display programs nationally.
